This is definitely a work-in-progress. I'll be adding posts related to my graduate work in Educational Leadership.

Reflections
I think, overall, the biggest obstacle to most educators, whether teachers or administrators, is time. Finding time to accomplish educational and professional goals while balancing other areas of their lives was the number one challenge cited by my peers during our discussions. I think that an important idea that I need to keep in mind as I work to reach my educational leadership goals is that I can’t do everything. I need to learn to prioritize; no matter how many essential issues there may seem to be, I must focus on a few at a time, or I will not be successful at exploring any of them. In addition, I can use the discoveries of other principal-researchers to serve as the background and foundation for issues of research on my own campus. Remembering that there is a community of learners out there—growing, discovering, creating, refining—reassures me that I am not alone, and there is great comfort in that.
